CALL FOR CATALYTIC REACTIONS |
|||||
In this issue, we are asking for your reactions in four areas: Just Ask!, how
NIH can improve the quality of our work lives, whether and how we should invest
in childcare facilities on campus, and the vacationing Hot Methods Clinic.
|
1) Just Ask! will be returning next month. What burning questions or problems blocking the efficient conduct of research would you like us to dig into in future issues? 2) At the direction of HHS Secretary Donna Shalala, an NIH committee is now developing a strategy for improving NIH work life. What would you recommend? 3) The Hot Methods Clinic will return soon. What updates can you provide on previous Hot Methods? What techniques would you like to see covered in the future? 4) The physical condition of the outdated NIH daycare facilities on campus is not up to code and could cost $250,000 to fix. Are these facilities important? Is the investment worthwhile? Or should NIH be making a larger investment in on-site daycare? |
